Audio Production Intern The Audio Team is responsible for capturing high-quality recordings of the Festival's performances as well as sound-reinforcement support for pre-concert lectures and other events. Objectives: by the end of the Festival, interns should gain experience in Planning and placement of equipment to achieve optimum sound in classical and jazz music settings Gathering and recording and editing sound clips of Festival participants (artists, team members, attendees) for future promotional events Duties: during the course of the Festival, interns will Set-up and dismantle sound equipment Plan daily and give post-concert feedback with Audio Engineer Troubleshoot issues prior to a performance at rehearsals Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: The ideal intern candidate possesses Knowledge of acoustic music recording (classical, jazz, world) with some classical experience Ability to work professionally in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing 35 lbs Willingness to work late nights and long days Desired majors: Media - Audio; Music Production - Audio; Theatre Production - Sound Design Additional application materials: A link to previous recording work, particularly in the classical genre, is helpful, but not required.
